No, but seriously. This location is UNREAL y'all. I can't wait to share it with everyone, so heres a sneak peak!!! First of all can we all say an AMEN for the parking lot! So hard to come by in the Short North.

We are snuggled on the corner of High + Price right next to this adorable coffee shop.

It's called mission, and man is it delicious. I will excuse anyone who is late as long as they walk in with a Mocha Latte from Mission for me!

But not to worry if you don't have time. We have a fully stocked beverage bar.

From coffee, to pop, to my personal fav; Fiji Water.

I really pride myself in the products lines I carry for my clients.

I search high and low to find the best of the best. A good friend of mine who is also a stylist, and I were talking the other day. We both were saying how we could never imagine offering or recommending something to our clients that we have tested and personally fallen in love with ourselves. This is one of the biggest perks about being your own boss in this industry. I get to provide you with things and services I believe in, not being forced to sell certain lines to met certain goals.

What I offer, is what I personally use (no really go look in my shower) and it's what I feel is the best on the market.

At the loft I will be carrying Eleven Australia for take home. This is such a great condensed line that does exactly what it says its going to do. With a price point for any budget.

If you haven't heard yet (and if you haven't are you living under a rock?) I have recently launched MONAT and will be helping to prescribe you with the perfect line to best suit your needs. You will be able to order this during your appointment, and it will ship directly your home. This may be more of an investment, but thats going to be a theme that comes up a lot for my clients and I in 2018.

Along with haircare you will also be able to take care of any other beauty needs with our two other lines. We are launching JRJ nail polish collections every season. I will be hand selected collection colors to feature throughout the year with this amazing line! If you haven't heard of them, check out their website! It's an amazing local company and I can't wait to grow with them.

Of course, I can't go without my Maskcara Beauty! This you can also have shipped directly to you. While you are in the chair we can even do a complimentary color match and help you select the perfect shade for you! Maskcara even has an incredible skin care line & THE best brushes. No really, you gotta try them!

This space is unlike any other salon experience you may have ever had with me. As I change, evolve, and expand so do my surroundings, and so does my brand.

The loft feels very intimate, upscale and calming. Its very crisp, clean and serene. Though we are located in the heart of downtown it gives you the vibes of a boutique California salon.

I heard a quote recently that read:

"A mind that is stretched by a new experience

is never able to go back to its old dimensions. "

I've grown this year.

I've loved this year.

And man, have I lost this year.

However,

I finally feel at home.

In my loft.

In my own skin.

In my own thoughts.

If you ask me, thats a damn good place to be any December.

I've almost been in the beauty industry a decade.

During those years I have spent countless hours perfecting my craft, while leaving margin for magic. There is always room for growth. In any industry, but especially mine. As trends and techniques are ever changing.

I plan to continue to grow this year, as my clientele grows and evolves with me.

HMM Styling was created to cultivate confidence

and instill mindfulness one hair flip at a time.

My brand finally feels like me. I have been working my whole life to cultivate something on this caliber and as time passes it will only get better.

HMM stands for Hair + Makeup Matters, BUT Her Mind Matters MORE!

I will be encouraging my clients each time they sit in my chair to think outside the box, dig deeper than surface level and help them discover their inner beauty as well.

I recently traveled to California for an extension training.

A method called Natural Beaded Rows.

The method became a mindset. That mindset became a lifestyle.

That lifestyle is what I will strive to embody and instill in others.

I am investing in myself, to further my education, my skills, and my business all year.

Which intern allows me to invest more into my clients and the direction my business is moving.

Its my loft. Its my chair.
